1. Overview

The Cleaning Business sells commercial cleaning equipment, machines, replacement parts, accessories, chemicals, and supplies. Warranty coverage depends on the product type, manufacturer, supplier, item condition, and the written warranty terms provided with the product.

Unless a product page, invoice, quote, or written agreement states otherwise, The Cleaning Business does not manufacture the products sold on this website. New products may be covered by the manufacturer’s warranty, if one is offered.

Used, refurbished, reconditioned, open-box, demo, clearance, closeout, special-order, and final-sale items may have limited warranty coverage or no warranty coverage.

The Cleaning Business may assist with warranty coordination, but warranty approval, replacement, repair, or denial is determined by the manufacturer, supplier, distributor, or authorized service provider.

2. Manufacturer Warranty

Many new machines, parts, and accessories are covered by the original manufacturer’s warranty. Warranty terms vary by brand and product.

Manufacturer warranties may require:

  • Proof of purchase
  • Product model number
  • Product serial number
  • Photos or videos of the issue
  • Error codes or diagnostic information
  • Maintenance records
  • Troubleshooting steps
  • Inspection by an authorized service provider
  • Return of defective parts
  • Use of manufacturer-approved parts, chemicals, chargers, batteries, or accessories

Warranty coverage may include parts only, parts and labor, limited service, or other remedies determined by the manufacturer. Some warranties do not cover labor, travel time, shipping, diagnostics, installation, replacement equipment, rental equipment, or downtime.

3. Warranty Exclusions

Unless the manufacturer states otherwise in writing, warranties generally do not cover:

  • Normal wear and tear
  • Brushes, pads, squeegee blades, filters, hoses, belts, seals, wheels, tires, gaskets, bearings, cords, switches, and other wear items
  • Batteries, chargers, motors, controllers, electrical parts, circuit boards, and sealed electronic parts unless specifically covered
  • Chemicals, detergents, cleaning solutions, liquids, and consumables
  • Damage caused by improper use, misuse, abuse, neglect, accident, or operator error
  • Damage caused by improper storage, improper charging, improper maintenance, or failure to follow the manual
  • Damage caused by using the wrong chemical, pad, brush, charger, battery, filter, or accessory
  • Damage caused by freezing, water intrusion, corrosion, fire, flood, impact, weather, or acts of God
  • Damage caused by unauthorized repairs, modifications, installation, or disassembly
  • Cosmetic wear, scratches, dents, discoloration, decals, paint damage, or other cosmetic conditions that do not affect operation
  • Freight damage, concealed shipping damage, or damage caused by customer-arranged transportation
  • Lost revenue, lost profits, missed jobs, labor costs, downtime, facility disruption, replacement rentals, or indirect damages

4. Used, Refurbished, Reconditioned, Open-Box, Demo, and Clearance Items

Used, refurbished, reconditioned, open-box, demo, rental-ready, scratch-and-dent, liquidation, closeout, clearance, and other non-new items may have visible signs of use, including wear, scratches, dents, fading, repairs, replaced components, worn tires, worn brushes, and cosmetic imperfections.

Unless a written warranty is clearly stated on the product page, invoice, or quote, these items are sold AS IS and WITH ALL FAULTS to the fullest extent permitted by law.

If a limited warranty is provided for a used, refurbished, or reconditioned machine, the warranty applies only to the specific coverage stated in writing.

5. Dead on Arrival / Initial Function Issues

If a product arrives and appears not to function properly, contact us at help@thecleaningbusiness.com within 24 hours of delivery.

Your email should include:

  • Order number
  • Product name
  • Model number
  • Serial number, if applicable
  • Description of the issue
  • Photos and/or videos showing the issue
  • Photos of the packaging, pallet, crate, or carton
  • Photos of the delivery condition
  • Delivery receipt or bill of lading, if applicable

Do not use, repair, disassemble, modify, discard, or return the product before receiving instructions from us. Doing so may void warranty support, return eligibility, or freight-claim eligibility.

6. Freight Damage

Large commercial cleaning machines may ship by freight carrier. Customers must inspect freight shipments before signing the delivery receipt or bill of lading.

Before signing for freight delivery:

  • Inspect the pallet, crate, packaging, and product
  • Look for dents, punctures, crushed packaging, broken straps, missing parts, water damage, or signs of mishandling
  • Take clear photos before unpacking
  • Note all visible damage on the delivery receipt or bill of lading
  • Refuse delivery if damage appears severe

If damage is discovered after delivery, email us within 24 hours. Include photos of the product, packaging, pallet, and delivery paperwork.

Signing for a shipment without noting visible damage may reduce or eliminate the ability to recover from the freight carrier.

7. Warranty Claim Process

To request warranty support, email help@thecleaningbusiness.com with:

  • Order number
  • Product name
  • Model number
  • Serial number
  • Description of the issue
  • Photos and/or videos
  • Proof of purchase
  • Troubleshooting steps already completed
  • Any error codes or unusual operating symptoms

We may provide troubleshooting steps, request additional documentation, contact the supplier or manufacturer, or direct you to an authorized service provider.

8. Replacement Parts Under Warranty

If a warranty claim is approved, the manufacturer or supplier may provide replacement parts. Replacement parts may be new, refurbished, rebuilt, or functionally equivalent.

The customer may be responsible for:

  • Labor
  • Installation
  • Diagnostic fees
  • Travel charges
  • Shipping costs
  • Return shipping of defective parts
  • Packaging costs
  • Service provider charges not approved by the manufacturer

The Cleaning Business does not reimburse customers for parts, labor, repairs, rentals, or third-party service unless approved in writing before the expense is incurred.

9. Limitation of Liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, The Cleaning Business and its operating entity are not responsible for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, punitive, or economic damages, including lost revenue, lost profits, downtime, labor costs, missed cleaning jobs, replacement rentals, facility disruption, or loss of business.

Warranty remedies are limited to the remedies provided by the applicable manufacturer, supplier, distributor, or written warranty.
